Fundraise for us!
You've always been amazing...
Refuweegee has survived since beginning as a voluntary project in 2015 because of the exceptional generosity of our wonderful supporters. Each year we need to raise around £750,000 and we rely on brilliant people to contribute however they can.
From your sofa or from Ben Nevis…
Everyone who donates or raises money for us is directly helping those arriving here in Glasgow. You can get active and run a marathon, or you can set up donations on your phone whilst watching TV, whichever you prefer!
For the busy people...
Setting up a direct debit means we can plan ahead with regular funds. Our monthly supporters are champions and once you're set up, you can relax knowing you're doing good. You can join them by setting up a regular donation.
You can also ask your employer to donate via Payroll Giving: a tax-free way of donating through your salary.
Gift Aid
If you donate directly to our bank, please fill in a Gift Aid declaration and we'll get a 25% top up from the UK Government, making your help go even further.
Having fun while raising funds
We like knowing people are having fun while fundraising for us so whatever floats your boat, enjoy yourself and know you are making life better for people. You can raise funds on your own, with friends, family, at work, online or at a club.
For the book lovers . . .
Have a charity book sale or a book swap and raise funds for the people in need.
For the fashion lovers . . .
Have a clothes swap at work, charge an amount per item and donate leftovers to our free shop.
For the quizzers . . .
Organise a quiz for your lunch break at work, host a night with friends, in the pub or go all 2020 and have a video call. Charge for entry and host a raffle on the night to raise funds.
For the bakers . . .
Who can resist a freshly baked cake, muffin or biscuits? Hold a fundraising bake sale and enjoy the treats knowing you are helping others.
For the sport lovers . . .
Sign up for the marathon or half-marathon, the Glasgow 10k, the AK Bell races, the Kiltwalk - or even challenge yourself and your friends to the Tough Mudder or a HYROX challenge. Every step taken and every pound raised will help those in need.
